The Transfer window slammed shut at midnight last night with some sensational transfers going through at the death. United finally captured their star man which could be the coup of the summer in terms of proven premiership ability. However, the most exciting signing to take place has to be the Robinho deal in terms of taking all factors into consideration. A summer of shenanigans from Real Madrid commencing with the attempt to offload Robinho to United in an exchange deal to bring Ronlado to the Bernabeau, and thus outraging a player, which has ultimately seen him try and engineer a deal through to Chelsea with his recent slave press conference. And with the weekends well documented Robinho shirts being sold on an official Chelski website, and in turn Real's absolute disgust with their sheer arrogance (sounds ironically familiar) Real decided Chelsea were not going to get their star player. However, the players position had by this stage become untenable, and Madrid were in a spot of bother completely down to their own doing, and that’s when City stepped into the centre of the saga and in doing so answering Madrid prayers. Finally capitulating with the signing of the Brazilian super star for a British record transfer fee.
In an interview with New Manchester City boss Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim, he has outlined his future plans in considering a $240 million bid for Manchester United superstar Ronaldo during the next transfer window in January,
“Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious.
"Real Madrid were estimating his value at $160 million but for a player like that, to actually get him, will cost a lot more, I would think $240 million.
"But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United.”
