Will England get a result against the Croatians and ultimately qualify for SA 2010?

fuck england. they have to prove they deserve the fans support and belief in them before i take the vaguest interest.
fingers burned too many times getting my hopes up since 1998...
and if they DONT finish top i think they will be reaping the rewards of over 10 years of under-investment in english talent. you only need compare the amount of homegrown players we have in the EPL and compare it with Spain, current Euro champions, to see we are, as usual, woefully inadequate.
Football is about getting ones hopes up and experiencing the love/hate relationship!
Yes, England can... I believe they can. They need to simply drop some stars to give them a bit of a wake up call and basically dump the old guard and bring in the new blood. The ones that are hungry and up for it.
Roons is a good example. Young, hungry and eager in 2004. He became a celeb so to speak and has lost that drive and stopped scoring and doing what he does week in and out for those toffs up north!
The problem with England is that no one has found the right formula whether it be formation or blend of players. Every manager has tinkered to their hearts content but can't quite find that overall balance. And until Fabio or any one of his future successors finds those answers, we will continue to be the perennial under performers and under achievers and the pressure will continue to mount and mount...
