We were told what a waste of time the FIFA World Club Cup was going to be over and over again. What were doing flying to Japan when we had a Premiership title to defend back in England? Who cares about this competition anyway?
A week after arriving in Japan, United are now ‘Champions of the World’ and our position in the league is even better than before we left. Our players are re-energised and hungry for silverware. It begs the question, can we do this every year?
Obviously if United don't beat Stoke on Boxing day then everything I have just said is premature.. but who cares!!!!

Huh? was there a tournament going on? Although now you mention it, my mate from Ecuador was getting excited about something this weekend - must have been this world club championship.
Also explains why Vidic wont be playing in Man United's (very kind) draw against Inter!
What gutless supporter would post as 'anon'... must be a scouse... ashamed after their shambles 2md half performance against a 10-man arsenal... and more proof they are not capable of taking advantage of united being in Japan.
Keep believing... Xmas spirit and all that jazz...
Oh and didn't Liverpoo lose the same tournament in 2006... hmmmm
no gutlessness about it! Its Bobby - I was at work and needed to register if i wanted to post with a username so put myself as anon as I couldnt be bothered to sign up.
I wonder if you'll be happy about the useless exercise in Japan when it comes to the Champions league v Inter and Jonny Evans has to go up against Zlatan and co. Heaven forbid Rio picks up an injury before those games otherwise you can look forward to Mourinho's smug face running down the touchline at Old Trafford again!
.....oh and i figured out how to post my name without registering!
